Creativity is the key

Over the coming weeks and months, we are very fortunate to be working with Colin Jackson, of Creative Learning Partnerships. Colin joins our staff and children in Key Stages 1 and 2 each Monday to teach classes and train staff in the art of using Drama to inspire and motivate children, with a particular focus on improving their writing.

The children in Key Stage One are using Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as their stimulus, and Key Stage Two are using stories about the Vikings and Viking Myths.

All those involved are thoroughly enjoying the sessions and we’re very much looking forward to seeing the writing they produce. We certainly have some budding stars of the stage in our teams!
