Holidays in term time

As I am sure you have read many times in the media or seen on the news, taking holidays in term time can not be authorised.

The only times that we may authorise term time absence is for exceptional circumstances and these are for example when a family is recovering from a trauma or when a parent has returned from military service.

We, as a school, are closely monitored to ensure our overall attendance for children aged 5 and upwards stays above 97%.

Whilst I fully understand that holidays are considerably cheaper in term time, please remember that the learning lost by your child when they are absent needs to be addressed and in order for your child to fully achieve their potential it is key that they are in attendance within term time.
