Young Voices 2018

After weeks and months of rehearsals, our amazing Young Voices Choir finally had their moment of glory at Sheffield Arena last week.  The choir collaborated with over 5,000 other school children to perform a variety of different songs to an audience of thousands. As we’d expect from such a talented bunch, they performed brilliantly and were an absolute credit to our school.  To those parents who were also able to make the trip to Sheffield, I am sure you were as proud as we were.  A special thanks must go to Miss Schofield for the hours of rehearsals with the children, and to Mrs Danks and Mrs Danbury for supporting the children on the day.  Their feet must have been hurting on the way home as we all saw first hand that they like a boogie too!

To cap a great fortnight for the YV choir, on Thursday this week they are heading to Selby College for the day to use the recording studio and compile a CD of their songs. What an experience that will be!

Miss Scofield has already signed us up for next year’s Young Voices, so watch this space if you’d like your child to be part of the experience.
