Road Safety Concerns

Dear Parent/Carer

I would like to bring to your attention ongoing concerns regarding road safety outside the school at drop off and pick up times.  This is a concern that I know many of you share and I know one you are committed to help us improving.

As the school continues to grow, the volume of traffic is increasing. The situation has been helped by now having both entry gates open and therefore more space to park. However, if parking and driving are  inconsiderate, then road conditions for both drivers and pedestrians will become increasingly dangerous. I’ve also been made aware that some parents, when parking before and after school, are blocking driveways of local residents, which isn’t ideal.

In the interests of the children’s safety, we ask that you be mindful of where and how you park and wherever possible we encourage you to walk to school. Please can we also request that you drive slowly and carefully at all times when in the vicinity of school.
